cockpit proudly presents "Exchange what you want with what you want" (EWY 1.0).

EWY 1.0 is a fileshare creating a kind of single meeting between people within the means of exchanging files. It´s an odd fileshare that displaces the norms of filesharing and uses the file to establish single meetings between people. EWY plays with the conception of unique as when you upload a file it will consequently replace the file of your choice. Only one person can have access to a file on EWY and in this way EWY offers the oppurtunity to anonymously share something personal and intimate with an unknown somewhere in the infinite cyberocean.

Byt vad du vill mot vad du vill-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Under perioden 23/01-2004 till 21/03-2004 under utställningen "Et Digitalt Bauhaus" på Museet for Samtidskunst i Roskilde kommer Kristina Lindströms projekt "Byt vad du vill mot vad du vill" fungera i museets foajé.

Utställningen i Roskilde har fungerat som ett incitament för cockpit att i samarbete med Kristina Lindström, Robert Ek och David Cuartielles producera en digital version av Kristinas verk. cockpit kan nu därför stolt presentera "Exchange what you want with what you want" (EWY 1.0) En udda fildelningstjänst som förskjuter normen kring fildelning och utnyttjar datorfilen för att etablera enstaka möten mellan människor. EWY 1.0 leker med det unika genom att ersätta filen användaren väljer mot filen hon lägger upp. Endast en människa har tillgång till den fil man väljer att byta och härigenom erbjuder EWY möjlighet att anonymt dela något personligt,intimimt och nära med en okänd någonstans i det oändliga cyberhavet.
